Backpack for touring Europe?

I’m going on a 2 week backpacking trip around europe this summer and I need to decide on a backpack. I already have a kelty red cloud 5000 st I bought For Camping several years ago, but I’m worried that its simply too big for this trip. It’s size defeats the purpose of packing light and being mobile, but using it would save me $100… Should I get a new smaller bag?

well it depends on who much stuff you want to take and if all that stuff is accomodated nicely in your back, as you say its big, you can stuff it with some clothes or pin in from the inside and make it smaller, you can spend those $100 on a backpack but why not invest that money on your travel, just see if you can borrow a backpack from someone!
